Utopian Society Members - As you all know, schools do NOT allow cellphone usage on their campuses for many reasons! :-( Think about how this makes you feel.

Construct a response to that article using the following guiding questions:
- What is the issue presented in the article (quick summary)
- How is cellphone usage related to learning, or how is it related to being a classroom or school disturbance?
- What ideas or solutions would you add to the MCS policy on cellphones that will accomodate parents, teachers, AND students?
- What evidence can you present that will prove that your stance on the policy would be most effective (in other words, what proof do you have that your suggestion would work the best? Keep the emotions out of this!)
Your response needs to be 300 words or more and consist of opinions and judgements that are backed up with evidence and facts!!! You can do it!
Reward for completion: Replace ANY grade with 100 points (except the syllabus and syllabus agreement!)

The issue presented in the article is about the device that us teenagers love is our cell phone. In the article it tells about how in Shelby County schools how their allowed the bring cell phones but they have to be put up in their locker. But when it comes to us the Memphis City Schools we cant have our phones at all. Because the kids at school be using there phones for unnecessary reasons. Like cheating, texting and sending inappropriate pictures.
The way it is related to learning is that we can text a friend and ask about homework and that we can use it as a calculator . We can get on the internet to get a had start for a big project and so on. The way it is a classroom disturbance is only if someone is being rude and texting while someone is speaking or if a ringtone is going off and disturbing others while they are working.
The ideas I think that the MCS family would like is that you should allow the kids to bring there phone to school and that you should also allow us to use the phones only if its school related. And the administrators shouldn’t take our phone if they catch us using them in the hallways.
The only way my plan will be in affect is if you let us try first.
